Timothy Berners-Lee, known as the founder of the internet, was born on June 8th, 1955, in London (England). Bachelor in Physic Engineering in Oxford, he started working for the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in 1980, in the city of Geneva, in Switzerland.
He began to study an easier way to share information among the scientists using computers as tools and to develop a functional system able to keep and restore data. This led Lee and his team into the creation of Internet.
The Lee’s team at CERN started working in the idea of interconnection by hyperlinks and hypertext based on the HTML language and HTTP protocol created by them. These set the basis of the URL web system that they implemented by establishing a computing net interconnected with the help of browsers that can locate and display remote information and data.
